Co – Curricular Activities:

Environment Day: June 5th 2014 Environment day was celebrated .Saplings were planted to spread the message of protecting the environment.

FreshersDay: The new batch of PU I students were given a warm welcome by the Management , The Principal Sr.Lucy,Lecturers and senior students. Fr. UdayaKumar , Correspondent and Manager was the chief guest .He encouraged students to focus not only on academics but also on overall personality development during their tenure at St.Antony’s PU College.

‘FRESHERS DAY’ was held on 21st June 2014, to welcome the PU I students officially. Efforts were made to break the ice and make them feel at home. PU II students entertained them with songs and dances followed by refreshments.

Elections: Student council elections were held. Through secret ballot voting students elected the various committee heads from the I PU and II PU.

“Utsav”: PU Sports and Cultural Fest
‘Utsav’ began on a high note with students competing in sports and cultural events over a week . They were divided into four groups and assigned a name. The lecturers acted as the mentors as they guided and encouraged the students to deliver their best.

Events included Throw ball, shot put, Javelin, Long Jump, Relay, Athletics, Volley Ball and Football.CulturalEvents included Debate, Solo Dance, Group Dance, Solo Sing, Group Song, Skit, Rangoli, Painting, Essay writing etc. Students participated with great enthusiasm and sportsman spirit.

Independence Day: The students displayed true patriotic fervor on Independence Day , which was celebrated in the church premises. Welcome speech and dances by the PU college students enthralled the audience.

Teacher’s Day Celebration: Teachers were feasted and feted on 5th September as students danced, sang and entertained their lecturers. Refreshments were arranged and students went all out to make their teachers feel special.

Onam Celebration: Onam was celebrated with’ POOKKALAM” and ‘ONAM SADYA’. It was a fun-filled day trip to Kerala. Irrespective of the states that everyone belonged to, all the teachers came uniformly dressed in Traditional Kerala sari lending an authentic ambience to the occasion.

Adieus: The St. Antony’s Group of Institutions bid adieu to Fr. Mariappa, Manager and Correspondent and Sr. Marianni Banu, Principal . PU College Students were the ‘Master of ceremonies’ (MC) for the event. The welcome dance was also performed by the college students.Speeches by the students and teachers and cultural events marked the day.
