St. Theresa’s Higher Primary School

St. Theresa’s Kannada Higher Primary School, at TC, Palya had its humble beginning in the year 1916. The origin goes back to the period of Divan of Hosakote, Thambuchettyan. His benevolence helped the people of Sannathammanahalli to get the land free of cost for the construction of school and church. The land was given to Rev. Fr. M.L Lieme.

St. Antony's High School

In the 1981 Rev. Fr. Jerome lobo, the then parish priest found the necessity and took the initiative to begin St. Antony's high School. In the year 1983, Sr. Isabel from St. Anne’s of Bangalore was appointed as the first head mistress of the high school. Her dedication and service made way for the government aid, and permanent recognition in the 1995.

Our PU College is recognized by the government of Karnataka and affiliated to the PU Board of education. English is the medium of education in our college. So even students who come from the kannada medium get trained to study all the subjects in English. PUC Principal association preparing the text books for the PU Students which is approved by the Govt of Karnataka.The student of PU II appear for public exam conducted by the Govt of Karnataka.

St. Antony of Padua and Lisbon

Confessor and Doctor of the Church (1195 - 1231)
A native of lisbon. Portugal. St Antony was baptized ferdinand bouillon he joined the canons regular of St .Augustine in 1210. However, the sight of the bodies of the first franciscan martyrs brought back from morocco 10 years later inflamed him with a desire for martyrdom. His brethren therefore permitted him to join the newly founded mendicant order of St. Francis d’ Assisi. Having taken the name, Anthony he was, at his own request, sent to morocco, but falling seriously ill, was forced to return. His ship, however, was driven to sicily by a great storm, where he heard that a general chapter had been called at assisi for whitsuntide 1221. He joined the 3.000 brethren there and saw St. Francis for the first time. In his humility he concealed his own warning and so was urged some time later to say a few words...... More+
